In the years that have passed since its creation, Koolwaters has grown to become one of the scenes hidden gems. What started out as a regional club night has since become an international mover and shaker, regularly leaping from continent to continent flexing its unadulterated musical girth at many of the scenes biggest and best clubbing empires.
Crowning some of those bills over the years has been everyone from festival lords The Chemical Brothers and Groove Armada to dance demi-god Sasha and hit maker Roger Sanchez, as well as globe trotters Darren Emerson, Sander Kleinenberg, Steve Lawler and Radio 1’s essential selector Pete Tong. Alongside heavyweight players Koolwaters has long married new talent to the dancefloor with its line ups, having given rise to a young James Zabiela, as well as early plays for other talent stars such as Fergie, Kid Massive and Mark Knight during the past decade.
To mark the milestone achievement that is the 10th birthday Marc Vedo, Koolwaters party organiser, has decided to go back and retrace the steps of some of the night’s most significant and best loved cities and venues. Kicking off the birthday tour Koolwaters will return to some of its earliest clubbing locations in Bristol, Weston, Plymouth, Cardiff, Exeter, Hereford, Swansea, as well as its spiritual home of Taunton. From here celebrations will then roll out to Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Huddersfield, Newcastle and London, before ending the year with a series of international events featuring a host of A-list roadblockers as the club touches down in Asia, Canada, Russia, Portugal, Switzerland, Czech Republic and South America taking in Brazil, Peru, Columbia.
